I’ve been drawn to clay since childhood and at age 5, I asked Santa Claus for a potters’ wheel! My passion for working on a potters’ wheel really developed at age 12 whilst at school. I quickly became addicted to the feel and malleability of clay. The endless possibilities of constructing a piece in clay is something that fascinates me and fills me with joy. There is something deeply satisfying about fashioning a lump of clay into something exquisite, unique and beautiful.
There are so many different possibilities to impress texture, add decoration, join, fold or carve at the various stages. The more I work with clay, the more I am humbled by its will and can respect it. It’s something that continually challenges me.
