My emotive animal portraits combine my earlier art studies with creative digital technologies. My work begins with the literal photograph. I use that to digitally paint it into an image that reflects the way my mind and heart understand the subject. The edited photographs are strikingly different from the original image captured by the camera as I paint with pixels to illuminate a more emotional nature of reality.
