Elizabeth (Betty) is a contemporary artist that uses the Bas-Relief technique. She creates this technique by gently sculpting a mixture of plaster, gypsum or molding paste in various combinations. Occasionally, other mixed media will be added onto a 2D wood panel or wood paddle. This technique gives her creations a subtle 3D appearance from various angles. After image sculpting is completed she finalizes her art piece with colourful acrylic or oil paints.

Fat Seagull Art Studio is nestled on the Trent-Severn Waterway in Hastings, Ontario which provides great inspiration for her.
