Call for Artist Information 

Discover the Art of the Eastern Northumberland Hills June 21 + 22, 2025 10 am -5 pm

 

We invite you to join our juried group of local artists as we open our studios, homes, show spaces and gardens to the public 

​

Tour participants will receive:

​​

  • Representation in full-colour promotional brochure (for distribution) posters and signage.

  • Be eligible to participate in special events associated with the Apple Route Studio Tour, including group shows, contests, and key promotional activities. This also includes the Galloping Gallop Gallery Giveaway, where one lucky patron will win a $200 gift certificate toward the purchase of an original piece of art from one of our incredibly talented artists.

  • Representation on the ARST Website, the Toureka! App, Facebook and  Instagram pages. (www.appleroutestudiotour.com, facebookcom/appleroutestudiotour, @appleroutestudios, Toureka! (free download from your app store))

  • Directional signage for your property and surrounding area.

Conditions of the tour:

  • The ARST is open to artists residing in East Northumberland County, although Guest artist  will be considered from outside the county if space allows.

  • Participants should be prepared to contribute to the tour in a volunteer capacity as needed - we will succeed with a team effort.

  • Participants must agree that no other artist will share their space unless the other artist has paid the registration fee, submitted an application, and has been accepted by the ARST committee. Violating this condition will result in an automatic disqualification from participating in future Apple Route Studio Tour events.

  • Participants must agree that any special engagements or arrangements with our sponsors are discussed and approved by the ARST committee.   This will ensure our sponsors are appropriately promoted  and advertised  for their contributions to the tour.

  • Participants will distribute ARST brochures to family, friends, clients and high-traffic shops in your area and refill them as necessary,

  • All artists must confirm that the artwork they submit is their original creative work and intellectual property.

  • INSURANCE COVERAGE IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PARTICIPANT,

APPLICATION PROCESS

(Early Bird Discount: Before February 3, 2025)

 

APPLICATION PACKAGE DETAILS:


Please complete the application form below and include the following:

  • 4-6 digital images of your original handmade work (high resolution, 300 dpi, JPG format). Include your name and the medium used in the file name.
    Note: Returning artists do not need to submit images with their application but must send at least 4 images of new work by March 14th.

 

FEES (Paid in Full):

  • Artist: $185 (Early Bird: $150)

  • Gallery: $300 (Early Bird: $275)

New or Guest Artists:
If applying for the first time, please wait for confirmation of your acceptance into the tour from the committee before submitting payment. If you submit your application and images before the early bird deadline, the early bird fee will still apply.

​​​​The K'Okay Group Show 

​

​

​

 

​The K'Okay Group Show is back this year, with some exciting updates aimed at creating greater cohesion and continuity. We are also introducing new opportunities for participation.

​

​Submission Guidelines:

  • Each artist may submit one piece, with maximum dimensions of 12" x 12", including the frame.

  • Artists working on canvas are asked to use gallery-style canvases to maintain a consistent look across the show.

  • Every piece submitted will be valued at $175. If a piece sells during the show, $25 from the sale will be donated back to AH!, Arts and Heritage  in Warkworth with the artist retaining $150.

Center and Mains Blind-Juried Packaging Contest.

​

We are thrilled to introduce the Center and Main Chocolate  Blind-Juried Packaging Contest. Here's your chance to have your artwork featured on the packaging of some of the finest chocolates in Northumberland Hills.

How it works:

  • Submit a digital reference of a newly completed piece (created within the last 12 months) that captures the essence of the Eastern Northumberland Hills.

  • A blind jury, made up of Center and Main staff and owners, will select one artwork to be featured on a limited-edition chocolate packaging.

  • To be considered  your digital image must be received no later than March 15

  • Submit 1 digital images of your original handmade work (high resolution, 300 dpi, JPG format). Include "Artful Indulgence "your name and the medium used in the file name. (ArtfulI_Indulgence_JasonSmith_Rain_10X10_Acrylic)
