Linda paints using alcohol ink on ceramic tile and yupo paper. The art can be hung or displayed on a table top easel. She also paints coasters. All her work has been resined to provide uv resistance and shine.
Art in some form has been a part of Linda’s life for as long as she can remember. A busy nursing career and small children left only small snippets of time for painting. Painting exclusively in oils, a weekly class with Ed Watson in Cobourg was her night out each week. Here she met with other artistic souls and they all learned from each other. Later she took many workshops through Gallery On The Lake in Buckhorn and the Painted Tree in Cobourg.
Since retirement, Linda has expanded her art to include other mediums: water colour, acrylic and mixed media. She was determined to keep to these mediums - After all, where do you put all the stuff! Then the inevitable happened. A rainy holiday in Virginia Beach with friends ended with an introduction to alcohol ink on tile . Resining the tiles came next, and Linda was hooked.
